Cherokee Rose calms people who suffer from moodiness, emotional imbalances by harmonizing the head and the heart. This essence opens the crown chakra creating a new vision of strength and creativity. Cherokee Rose is a child of Lady Eubanksia Rose.

Cherokee was brought to the American colonies in the mid 1700s from southern China. It is also native to Viet Nam and later planted by Native Americans. Later when forced to relocate east of the Mississippi River by foot, Native American chiefs prayed for a sign of strength, especially for mothers with small children. The Natives said wherever a tear dropped along the way, a Cherokee rose bloomed. It continues to bloom along the Trail of Tears to this day.

Cherokee is a 16–33-foot climber with fragrant, pure white, open blooms and golden stamens. It blooms in March- April, occasionally 2 x in the spring. The lovely, white flowers cover the large rose with a mass of blooms 2- 4 inches wide with bright glossy green leaves and bright red hips in the fall. Georgia is proud to honor Cherokee rose as its state flower.
