Madame Alfred Carriere is a Fragrant Noisette rose, introduced in 1879 from France. A Noisette rose is a cross between a China rose and Moss rose, both hardy and easy to grow. Madame Alfred Carriere is a sub class of Noisette roses crossed with Tea rose      added to the parentage. She has larger flowers and is winter hardy in more southern climates, often seen climbing on a north wall. This climber is almost thorn- less, with long, pliable graceful stems and continuous blooms from spring through the fall. The double blooms are 4 inches across, with creamy, fragrant flowers laced with pink. A Noisette rose blooms in clusters, making this climber elegant planted along a fence or near a pergola. It stretches 20 feet in height and 10 feet across, a rose with graceful beauty to share .
