Rejuvenating Skin Cream
Rejuvenating Skin Cream
Ingredients:
4 ounces carrier oil such as sweet almond, avocado, or jojoba; I prefer jojoba oil to apply to the face.
½ ounce grated beeswax (organic is commercially available)
2 ounces of hydrolate or flower water for your skin type.
10 drops essential oil for your skin type, or blend of essential oils.
Accessories:
2 Medium Pyrex or glass bowls
Wooden spoon or spatula
Large pan, which the glass bowl will fit into.
Large wide mouth glass jar or container with a screw lid for the cream. Do not use metal. It will interact with the essential oil.
In the glass bowl, add the grated beeswax, then 4 ounces of carrier oil. Place the large pan, half filled with water on medium heat. Reduce heat and allow
the beeswax to melt in the carrier oil. Stir with a wooden spoon or spatula to mix the ingredients well. Slowly add the hydrolate, 1 tablespoon at a time,
mixing well after each addition. Continue slowly stirring adding the essential oil, 1 drop at a time. Pour the mixture into a wide mouth, glass jar and refrigerate
to allow the cream to set.
